ZEBRA RUGS
A zebra rug is a most exquisite trophy. Our technique of rugging a zebra is to back the hide with a high grade of thin carpet and bind it with #1 quality, black steer leather. Once you've seen this, you will never again consider the "old style" of gluing the hide to a felt cloth. The combination of carpet and adhesive stabilizes your hide and makes it surprisingly durable.
One point to consider in having your zebra trophy made into a rug is the shape of the head.
When possible, we shape the head for fullness and to emphasize the symmetry of the head.

Unlike the more common method of gluing the hide to a piece of felt, the leather edging is much more durable, does not collect dust and dirt, and adds a very elegant look.
The leather border is very easily cleaned, using a damp cloth.
